kukkiri
An open-source tool that restores mosaics in video. It runs locally on an NVIDIA GPU, finding the mosaic in every frame, tracking it through the scene and reconstructing what is under it with a multi-frame video model.

What it does
- One streaming pass. Decoding, detection, restoration and encoding overlap on the GPU. A two-hour film needs no more memory than a two-minute clip.
- Keeps your file intact. Source resolution and audio are preserved; only the mosaic regions change.
- Batch and sections. Restore whole folders, or just a 30-second section to preview the result first.
- Checks before it starts. Videos that are already uncensored or have no mosaic are skipped.
- Leaves faces alone. Identity mosaics over faces are recognised and never restored.
Requirements
- NVIDIA GTX 16-series / RTX 20-series or newer (compute capability 7.5+)
- NVIDIA driver 580 or newer
- Windows (installer) or Linux (pip or Docker)
